Description

Camera Slice is an experimental 3ds Max modifier that clips an object's geometry based on a selected camera view. The modifier is applied to an object, and a camera is specified in its parameters. Parts of the mesh outside the camera’s view frustum are automatically removed.

This can be useful for scene optimization, visualization workflows, and camera-based effects, especially when working with large environments or procedural setups.

Installation

  1. Unzip the archive CameraSlice.zip.
  2. Copy CameraSlice.mse to the 3ds Max 20xx\stdplugs\stdscripts folder.
  3. The modifier will appear in the modifier list.
