This mode sets or overwrites the animation keys for position, rotation and scale after each modification of the animation parameters.
This mode changes the transformation of the object depending on the distance to the spherical sizmo. Instead of the animation keys, the object is assigned a script controller. What will allow you to see the result in real time by moving the spherical gizmo in the viewport window.
This mode works almost as well as "Controller", but for work uses Particle Flow. This is much faster, and it is also possible to use texture maps that can affect animation.
